CEWD is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual, who excels at time management and balancing competing priorities, to join our team! This position supports student registration and related services, serving as part of a team which provides classes and training for over 4000 non-credit students annually. Primary functions include: entering data accurately in the college’s ERP system, reviewing student and course data to ensure accuracy for compliance and reporting purposes; preparing, monitoring and completing requisitions and purchase orders; summarizing course evaluations; providing customer service via the main CEWD phone line, as well as other office and course support functions. This full-time position supports the daily operations of the division and serves as part of a team which provides classes and training for over 4000 noncredit students annually. Primary functions include: using the ERP system to input course details, overseeing daily financial operations, and assisting with completing reports; providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers/students, and providing administrative support to the division as needed. Garrett College invites applications for a full-time Faculty in Engineering to join its team in a new state-of-the-art STEM Center in McHenry, Maryland. This 10-month faculty position (Assistant/Associate Professor rank based on qualifications and experience) is responsible for the preparation, development, and presentation of classroom and laboratory material; the academic advisement of students; and participation in the academic planning and assessment process. Garrett College is searching for an outstanding and enthusiastic individual for a full-time faculty position in engineering to begin in the spring or fall of 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of engineering courses. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the person filling this position is expected to be actively involved in departmental and campus committees and will participate in curriculum development as well as program and student learning assessments. Required Qualifications:

Garrett College is seeking applicants for a variable-hour Security and Safety Officer. Hours will average 16 hours per week. The vacant position requires availability on Saturday and Sunday from 3 PM to 11 PM. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license; must have a high school diploma or GED; must have reliable transportation or means of getting to and from work; be able to attend training seminar; be neat and clean in appearance. The Security and Safety Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the students, visitors, and campus personnel. Salary range for initial placement is $16.85 to $20.03 per hour based on relevant experience. The only benefit with this position is sick and safe leave which is accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked. 2 days a week 8am-4pm. Garrett College will provide training and a shadowing experience prior to working with students. Program Title: Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Description: This skills-oriented program offers a professional truck driving curriculum for the purpose of qualifying students for entry level positions as drivers in over-the-road or local driving vehicles. Topics covered include the following: pre-trip inspection, various skills in the yard, and over-the-road instruction along with a basic overview of map reading and log books. At the completion of the training, the student will be taken to demonstrate at their local Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain a Class A or B license. Time to Complete Program:

Community Aquatics & Recreation Complex (CARC) is seeking applicants for Lifeguards. Applicants must have a current certificate in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid. Training and Certifications are available on site. The work schedule will vary, including mornings, nights, weekends, and some holidays. The facility opens at 6am and closes at 8:30 during the weekdays, 8 am-8pm on Saturday, and 10am-6pm on Sunday. There will be physical demands of patrolling the pool deck, making water rescues, and performing CPR. Life guards are required to attend monthly In Service training. The work is indoors. Personal protective equipment, one hip pack, and one uniform tee shirt will be provided and are required while on duty. Lifeguards are responsible for patron safety.
